Route: Znojmo – Hradište – Mašovice – Podmolí – Havraníky – Popice – Konice - Znojmo
Recommendation: One-day trip for active cyclists
Length of the route: 35 km
We will start our trip in the picturesque town of Znojmo. Here we can visit the Rotund of St. Catharine, built in the 11th century. If you do not lack courage, you can explore one of the largest underground labyrinths in Central Europe. The route continues through the community of Hradiště, and further to the Thayatal National Part, which is the only Moravian national park to date. Then we reach the viewpoint Králův stolec, connected with a number of legends and historical events. We will be rewarded there by a stunning view of the Znojmo Dam and its surroundings. We further pass the villages of Mašovice and Podmolí to reach the Šobes Vineyard. By its unique location and romantic atmosphere of the meander of the Thaya River, it leaves no tourists unimpressed. In summer, you can make a stop at a Znovín Wine stand open in the middle of the Vineyard, where you can taste and buy top-quality Šobes wine. The route will then take you to a suspension bridge over the Thaya River, and you will continue to the village of Havraníky, and through Popice and Konice back to Znojmo.
